Traveling with Al Campo International is fun, exciting and educational. More importantly,our teen and adult travel trips are uniquely oriented towards providing you with an experience that centers around the local community and people. This approach benefits the local economy and society while providing you with a sense of belonging in a foreign country.
How do we do this? Through the relationships we have developed with rural communities; through years of sustainable development projects; by building working relationships with local non-profit organizations and most importanty, through the efforts of local people who comprise more than 85% of ACI’s staff. Their experience and knowledge of the country make each aspect of your summer or spring break trip an adventure and exploration into people, places and culture. Whether building infrastructure in a distant mountain village or surfing the sun baked beaches of the Pacific, it is your day in and day out interaction with your local guides, your host families and our field staff that defines your immersion in the local community. Each leadership team combines local and international guides to achieve the perfect balance of adventure and safety on all of our teen, school, and adult trips.
